Dr. Felix Govaers earned a Diploma in Mathematics (2007) and a Ph.D. in Computer Science (2013) from the University of Bonn, Germany, specializing in advanced data fusion for distributed sensor applications. Dr. Tae J. Kwon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta, where he has been since 2016 after receiving a prestigious Ph.D. dissertation award from the University of Waterloo.His research spans intelligent transportation systems (ITS), winter road maintenance, facility location optimization, geospatial information sciences, remote sensing, and AI analytics with a strong focus on enhancing transportation safety and efficiency. Dr. Jiaxin Cai is currently an associate professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Xiamen University of Technology. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the System and Circuit Technology research group at the Heinz Nixdorf Institute (HNI), University of Paderborn, Germany.
